The American Board of Trial Advocates

Don Ernst has been an American Board of Trial Advocates member at the rank of Advocate since 2000. He has made great strides to further the reach of this organization’s general purpose,

“…to foster improvement in the ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of advocacy to the end that individual litigants may receive more effective representation and the general public be benefited by more efficient administration of justice consistent with time-tested and traditional principles of litigation.”

Mr. Ernst has had over thirty years of experience as an attorney, through hundreds of trials and settlements, he has made it his mission to fight for clients and get them the recovery that they deserve using this guiding principle. ABOTA is an organization that brings together the highest quality trial lawyers that truly believe in the jury system. Their peer reviewed members are held to the highest ethical standards and understand that they are part of a system in which civility is of the greatest importance.

To obtain the rank of Advocate, one first must be invited to become an ABOTA member, then he or she must meet rigorous standards and practice law in the most ethical and effective manner. The title comes with requirements for trial experience and extra education requirements, as well as much responsibility. ABOTA and its members have a goal to create a world where justice is truly for the people and by the people. The American Board of Trial Advocates partners with a variety of different organizations such as the Conference of Chief Justices and the National Judicial College to make sure that the rights of citizens are protected at every level. The organization also partners with educational resources that educate ABOTA members to ensure that they are at the forefront of knowledge in their practice areas. The attorneys at Ernst Law Group strive to do the same. If you have been injured, they will do whatever they can to get the swift justice that you deserve. They will make sure that all of your legal rights are protected and that your case in handled with the utmost care.

Thomas Jefferson believed that a trial by a jury of fellow citizens was a more important protector of liberty than a citizen’s right to vote. It is this principle that inspired young attorneys to form the American Board of Trial Advocates. It is their mission to protect a citizen’s right to have a jury of their peers decide their case and to ensure that trials are not decided by government bureaucrats. Starting in 1957, when it appeared that the entire civil court system was in jeopardy, its founding members created this revolutionary organization that strives to unite and empower attorneys that display skill, civility and integrity to help younger attorneys educate the public about the importance of the seventh amendment and achieve a higher level of trial advocacy.

In a world where rights are often impeded it is important to have a system where your voice can be heard and where citizens can make a difference. The civil court system is such a place. If you believe that you have a case, contact Ernst Law Group today. We will make sure that your seventh amendment rights are fully exercised and that a jury of your peers will get you the justice and recovery that you deserve. No matter what has happened to you, remember that you have a voice and an avenue to make yourself heard, let us show you the way.
