Have you been hurt as a driver or passenger in Oceano, CA? Whether you were hit by a drunk driver on Cabrillo Highway or were the victim of a off-roading accident on the dunes caused by a negligent off-road vehicle operator, you could be eligible to file an injury claim seeking all of your losses.
Filing a personal injury claim with the insurance provider of the at-fault person gives you the greatest chance of recovering all of your financial losses — as well as compensation for non-financial losses, like your pain and suffering. However, insurance companies will do anything they can to reduce the value of your claim or deny it altogether. Hiring a car accident lawyer in Oceano, CA gives you the legal resources to file a strong claim that an insurer will have a tough time denying.
Speak to an Oceano car accident attorney during a free, no-obligation case review with Ernst Law. During it, you will learn about the legal strategies you could be using to seek the full, fair amount of money for all of your injury-related losses.

Be Careful When Dealing with Insurers
You may be tempted to file a personal injury claim on your own, which can be an ok option when your case is relatively straightforward.
At the same time, insurers often take advantage of people who file an injury claim without the full knowledge of all their legal rights. Insurers may dispute the costs of treating your injury, for instance, because they claim that not all the treatments were “necessary.” They may also try to say that some of your injury costs resulted from a previous health condition and not the accident.
In certain cases, they may argue that their policyholder was not at fault or claim you were the major cause of the accident.
When any of these things happen, it may be highly beneficial to hire an attorney. Your Oceano car accident lawyer will investigate your case and obtain the evidence needed to file a strong claim. If the insurance company refuses to offer a fair settlement, your lawyer can file a lawsuit and take the case to court.
Ernst Law Group has a history of winning cases in and out of the court room because we know the types of strategies that convince juries — which can often convince insurers before things escalate to a lawsuit.
Protect your legal rights by refusing to answer questions that could be used to reduce or deny your claim. Hire an attorney who will guide your case and put a stop to some of the trickier tactics insurers use.
History of Oceano, CA
Home to around 7,200 people, Oceano is a census-designated place in San Luis Obispo County. Its name is derived from the Spanish word for “ocean” (Océano), but typically spelled without the accent.
In 1903, Oceano was established as the home to Halcyon, a utopian religious community. Halcyon was connected to the Temple of the People (not to be confused with Jim Jones’ Peoples Temple), based in Syracuse, New York as a member of the Theosophical Society. The group constructed a variety of buildings, such as the Blue Star Memorial Temple and the Halcyon Hotel and Sanatorium, in an effort to channel unseen electromagnetic forces to attain human perfection.
Today, the Great American Melodrama performs original plays every night in Oceano. The area is also home to the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area. The 1,500-acre coastal dune area is the only state park in California where visitors can drive ATVs, dirt bikes and other vehicles on the beach. The area also boasts a camping area, clamming, swimming, surfing, hiking and local wildlife.
Oceano is one of the favorite destinations for the lawyers at Ernst Law Group. While we enjoy the beaches and other attractions in Oceano, we also support efforts to preserve the state park. In addition, our lawyers represent the locals in Oceano whenever they have been injured by someone else’s actions.
